Graduate Activities: Debora Faccion at Yale



On February 7th, doctoral candidate Debora Faccion presented a talk titled “Relational Aesthetics, Democracy and Pixação” at the seminar Performing São Paulo: Pixação and Contemporary Art, held at Yale University. The seminar was sponsored by Emerging Collective on behalf of the Yale Society for Performance Ecology and took place at the Loria Center. Other panelists were the pixador (graffiti artist) Cripta Djan, art dealer João Correa, and film director Amir Escandari. The seminar was part of the program “Pixação + Contemporary Art: From the Periphery to the Center, which also showed works by Djan at Exhibit C in New York.
